Welcome to the Ballet Théâtral de Montréal, an open door to anyone that believes that this magic can be passed on with due respect to the Arts and to the individual.
You ask, why would one take up dance if there is no desire to pursue a future career as a dancer? How, as a caring parent, can you ensure that you are making the best decision in regards to choosing an activity for your child? And what if your child was devoted to dance, ambitious, talented or had an inclination to this art form?
Learning the art of dance and movement has proven, after 400 years of history and improvement, that a plethora of aptitudes and skills can be developed with this form of art when taught appropriately and in a professional manner. Moreover, when accompanied by a caring and sincere educational atmosphere that enables the child to blossom, then the enrichment is without limits and the value of the activity is priceless.
The heart of the Ballet Théâtral de Montréal is the education of young dancers. Our school is qualified to help anyone with an interest to learn how to dance, whatever his or her goal might be. Our aim is to get the student to understand what he is doing in order to progress up the levels, increase his knowledge, confidence and creative skills to achieve real success. Thus, happiness, good work, pride and confidence can go hand in hand and the resulting combination reflects what the MISSION of the Ballet Théâtral de Montréal is about.
Our main interest lies in offering high quality teaching that is oriented toward the physical, artistic, personal and social development of the young artist interested in the art of dance.
Starting from a very early age to young adults, each student will benefit from a precise and proper training on the studied techniques and styles, and all receive equitable attention on the part of the professorial corps. Obviously, to get the best results, one must naturally add his implication, quality work and his own willingness to participate to the activity.
The Ballet Théâtral de Montréal believes in the flourishing of the individual, in the beneficial aspects of the arts and in the pleasures of moving. Our thinking is professional, just as much as the bulk of our background knowledge and the way we use it.
